Fladov Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Fladov Innovations Nigeria Ltd (“Fladov,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use the Fladov website, platform, public business pages, and related services.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember information about your visit, maintain secure sessions, recognise returning browsers, understand how the service is used, and support other website functions.

Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts, and identifiers that perform related functions.

Some cookies are required for Fladov to work properly. Others help us understand and improve how people use the platform.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

Fladov uses the following categories of cookies and similar technologies.

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required to operate and secure the platform. They may be used to:

  • keep users signed in;
  • maintain account and browser sessions;
  • protect forms and requests against security threats;
  • remember security and authentication states;
  • prevent fraud and unauthorised access;
  • route traffic and maintain platform stability;
  • remember a user’s cookie choices.

Because these cookies are necessary for the service to function, they cannot ordinarily be disabled through Fladov’s cookie controls. You may block them through your browser, but parts of the platform may stop working correctly.

2.2 Analytics and performance cookies

With your consent where required, we use analytics tools to understand how visitors and users interact with Fladov.

These tools help us understand matters such as:

  • which pages and features are visited;
  • how users move through the website;
  • approximate session length;
  • device and browser types;
  • whether users encounter errors or confusing interfaces;
  • which parts of the website or platform need improvement;
  • general usage and performance trends.

Our current third-party analytics providers are Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

We do not use these tools to give third parties direct access to private business records or the contents of Bica conversations for advertising purposes.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure and understand website and platform usage.

Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish users and sessions and to generate aggregated usage reports. Information processed may include:

  • pages viewed;
  • events and interactions;
  • approximate location derived from network information;
  • browser and device information;
  • referral source;
  • session and engagement information;
  • pseudonymous identifiers.

Common Google Analytics cookies may include:

Cookie Typical purpose Typical duration
_ga Distinguishes users using a pseudonymous identifier. Up to 2 years
_ga_<container-id> Maintains and counts sessions for a particular Google Analytics property. Up to 2 years

Exact cookie names and durations may change depending on Google’s configuration, browser controls, consent settings, and updates to the service.

Google may process analytics information on infrastructure located outside Nigeria. Google’s own terms and privacy documentation govern its independent processing activities.

Where analytics consent has not been granted, we will seek to prevent Google Analytics cookies from being stored and configure available consent controls accordingly.

4. Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with pages and interfaces so that we can identify confusing flows, errors, usability problems, and opportunities to improve Fladov.

Clarity may produce aggregated behaviour information, heatmaps, and session replays based on interactions such as clicks, scrolling, navigation, and page usage.

Clarity may process information such as:

  • page views and navigation;
  • clicks, scrolling, and interface interactions;
  • browser, device, and operating-system information;
  • approximate location derived from technical information;
  • session timing and performance information;
  • pseudonymous user and session identifiers.

Common Microsoft Clarity cookies may include:

Cookie Typical purpose Typical duration
_clck Stores a pseudonymous Clarity user identifier and preferences for the website. Up to 1 year
_clsk Connects page views into a single Clarity session. Usually about 1 day
CLID Identifies when Clarity first observed a browser on a site using Clarity. Duration determined by Microsoft
ANONCHK Indicates whether an identifier may be transferred for Microsoft advertising-related purposes. Usually a short period
MR Helps Microsoft determine whether to refresh certain identifiers. Usually several days
SM Helps synchronise identifiers across Microsoft domains. Usually for the session

The exact cookies set may depend on browser behaviour, Microsoft’s configuration, consent choices, and changes to Clarity.

Clarity session replay is intended to help us understand interface behaviour. We will configure the service and our implementation to avoid intentionally capturing passwords, payment credentials, or other information that should not be included in analytics recordings. Users should nevertheless avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information into ordinary website fields.

Where analytics consent has not been granted, we will seek to prevent Clarity’s non-essential cookies from being activated and pass the relevant consent status using available Clarity consent controls.

5. First-Party and Third-Party Cookies

A first-party cookie is set through the domain you are visiting, such as Fladov’s domain. Strictly necessary Fladov cookies and some analytics identifiers may operate as first-party cookies.

A third-party cookie is set or accessed by another service whose technology appears on the website. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may use cookies, tags, or identifiers provided through their services.

Even where an analytics cookie is stored as a first-party cookie, information associated with it may be transmitted to the relevant analytics provider for processing.

6. Our Legal Basis and Consent

Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are required to provide, secure, and maintain the service requested by the user.

We use non-essential analytics and performance cookies based on consent where consent is required or selected through our cookie controls.

You may accept or reject non-essential cookies without losing access to Fladov’s essential website functions. Rejecting analytics cookies may reduce the information available to us about how the platform is used, but it should not prevent ordinary access to core functionality.

7. Managing Your Cookie Choices

Where available, you can manage non-essential cookies through Fladov’s cookie banner or cookie-preference controls.

You may be able to:

  • accept all cookies;
  • reject non-essential cookies;
  • enable or disable analytics cookies;
  • change a previous choice.

Your preference may itself be stored using a necessary cookie or browser storage so that we can remember your selection.

You may also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Browser controls vary, but they commonly allow you to:

  • view stored cookies;
  • delete existing cookies;
  • block all cookies;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • block cookies from selected websites;
  • clear site data when the browser closes.

Blocking all cookies may prevent login, security, preference, or other essential Fladov features from working correctly.

Google also provides a browser add-on that can prevent Google Analytics JavaScript from sharing website activity with Google Analytics. Availability and operation of that tool are controlled by Google.

8. Do Not Track and Browser Signals

Some browsers provide “Do Not Track” or similar privacy signals. There is not one universally applied standard governing all such signals.

Where our analytics providers or consent systems support recognised browser privacy signals, we may use them as part of our consent and tracking configuration. You should still use Fladov’s cookie controls or your browser settings to express your preferences directly.

9. Retention

Cookie durations vary depending on their purpose.

Some cookies expire when you close your browser. Others remain for a defined period so that the website can recognise your browser or maintain a preference across visits.

Analytics providers may retain information generated through their tools according to our configuration and their applicable retention practices. We will seek to retain identifiable or pseudonymous analytics information only for as long as reasonably necessary for analytics, security, troubleshooting, and service-improvement purposes.

10. International Processing

Google and Microsoft may process analytics information outside Nigeria, including in countries with different data-protection laws.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, Fladov will take reasonable steps to use appropriate providers, configurations, contractual protections, and other safeguards required under applicable law.

Further information about international transfers is available in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when:

  • we change the cookies or technologies used by Fladov;
  • we add, remove, or replace a service provider;
  • provider cookie names or functions change;
  • the platform changes;
  • applicable legal or regulatory requirements change.

The date at the top of this Policy shows when it was last updated.

Where a change materially affects your cookie choices, we may provide a new notice or request consent again where appropriate.
